Donald W. Weeks of Samson, AL passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020 in a Dothan Hospital. He was 85 years old.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Chancey officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Mr. Weeks was born in Geneva County, AL to the late Woodrow and Ruthie Hall Weeks. Mr. Weeks enjoyed woodworking, especially making bird houses and fishing in his spare time. He proudly served the citizens of Geneva County in law enforcement for many years. He loved attending church and worshiping the Lord. He also enjoyed listening to southern gospel music.   

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Sara Kilcrease.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Edna E. Weeks of Samson, AL; one daughter, Anna Weeks Wood (Robin) of Samson, AL; four step children, Sherry Parker of Atlanta, GA, Timothy Carroll, Melody Helms (David) and Kevin Carroll all of Geneva, AL; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Kleypas of Burleson, TX and Peggy Tice (Ken) of Geneva, AL; and several nieces and nephews.
