DONALD WATSON


HEADLAND…Donald Watson, a resident of Headland, died Wednesday afternoon, November 13, 2019 at Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center. He was 75.


            Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 16, 2019, at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Headland, with Dr. Robert Pemberton and Dr. Keith Wrenn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday in the church sanctuary.


            In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made, in his honor, to the Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund, 2506 AL-134 Headland, Alabama 36345.


            Mr. Watson was born in Dothan, Alabama, son to the late Homer Titus Watson and Frenchie Granberry Watson. He lived in around the Dothan and Headland area most of his life. Donald was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Headland. He was a retired welder in the commercial industry, as one of his many projects, was helping construct Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant. He loved the Lord and instilled it into his family, as he ended every phone call with read your bible.


            He leaves to cherish his memories, his daughters, Jana Watson and Tren Watson, both of Red Level; his sons, Vaughn Watson, of Red Level, Tyrone Watson (Leigh), of Headland, and Nic Watson (Denisha), of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; his sisters, Betty Prine, of Mobile, AL, Linda Deese (Ray), and Debbie Jones, both of Dothan; fourteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
