On the morning of December 31, 2022, God called home one of His special angels, Donna Carol Hudspeth Morehead.

A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Northview Christian Church with Pastor Raymond Ramsey officiating. Burial will follow in Gates of Heaven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10-11 am.

Donna was born in Headland, AL on September 23, 1962, to the late Dawkins and Anna Hudspeth. Donna accepted Christ at an early age while attending her home church. She continued her walk with the Lord as a member of Northview Christian Church for about 18 years and she was currently a member of New Mount Moriah Baptist Church under the ministry of her brother-in-law, Pastor Howard Valentine. She received her elementary education at Montana Street Elementary School, and she graduated from Northview High School and was a proud member of the Class of 1981. She attended Wallace College and received her degree in Early Childcare Education. She started her journey early and by the 10th grade, she knew that caring for children was her calling. She worked with children at First Missionary Baptist Church. On December 4, 1994, she became Director of Ciera’s Child Care Center until 2014. She then worked for the City of Dothan as Program Director for two years. Donna touched the lives of many children over the years and that was the work she truly enjoyed. The love she had for softball was unmatched. She led Northview Christian Church’s team to undefeated victories for many years.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Dawkins and Anna Hudspeth, her sisters, Elizabeth Faulk, Carey Marshall, and Annie B. Collins, her brothers, Marvin Mills, Dawkins, Jr., Kenneth, Alvin, and Bobby Charles Hudspeth.

Donna leaves to cherish a legacy, her three beautiful daughters, Shuntanya Harris, Nicole Morehead, and Sierra Mobley; her son-in-law, Kristofer Mobley; her seven grandchildren, Kian Caldwell, Sianna Young, Carter Jones, Kehlani Mobley, Chase Jones, Kristofer (KJ) Mobley, and Baby Girl Mobley to be born April, 2023; her supportive and loving God-Daughter, Ciera Armstead; her six sisters, Bobbie (Paul) Johnson, Glemma (Billy) Davis, Elmeta Boatwright, Jennell Cooper, Anna Ruth (Howard) Valentine, and Connie (Howard) Armstead; one brother, Ray Charles Hudspeth; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.

Donna was a virtuous and loving Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend. She loved her family and friends deeply and she showed this love through cooking and fellowship.
