Donna Marie (Duke) Nowell, 77, a longtime resident of Cottonwood, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024, in Graceville Health Center following an extended illness.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Glover Funeral Home with Reverend Cory Solomon officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 11:45 a.m., prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.

Donna was born in Raleigh, North Carolina, to the late Albert Lee Duke & Rosa Marie Lawrence. She spent the early years of her life in North Carolina and attended Goldsborough High School. Donna was a homemaker, and loved Alabama Football, “Roll Tide!”

She was preceded in death by her husband, Omer Nowell, and her parents.

She is survived by a son, Rusty Nowell; and two brothers-in-law, James Nowell (Sandy) of Campbellton, FL, and Larry Nowell of Cottonwood; and several nieces and nephews.
