Donnie Zack Daniels of Samson passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2019. He was 74 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2019 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Buddy Manning and Rev. John Trim officiating. Burial will follow in New Home Baptist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Mr. Daniels was born in Enterprise, AL on June 10, 1944 to the late Zack Lincoln and Nancy Pearl Stephens Daniels. Mr. Daniels enjoyed being outdoors working in his garden, and yards. He believed in staying in shape and working out. He lifted weights daily and won his last weightlifting competition at the age of 62. He also retired from Ft. Rucker after 40 years as an aircraft mechanic.

In addition to his parents his was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Walker.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jeanette Hayes Daniels of Samson; one daughter, Cynthia  “Cindy” Daniels of Samson; one son, Mark Daniels of Tuscaloosa; two grandsons, Henry and Connor Daniels both of Tuscaloosa; one brother, Gene Daniels (Ann) of Samson; one sister, Carolyn Daughtry of Jack; and many special nieces, nephews, classmates, and friends from work.

Pallbearers will be: Bruce Berry, Fernie Moore, Craig Harrison, Junior Russell, Glynn White, and Millard Powell.
