ABBEVILLE. . .Doris Penley Spillane, a resident of Pebble Cove on Lake Eufaula, died Saturday afternoon, October 12, 2019, in the Signature Healthcare of North Florida in Graceville. She was 85.

     Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. (E.D.T.) Wednesday, October 16, 2019, in the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery, near Ft. Gaines, with George Hartley officiating. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

     Mrs. Spillane was a native of Eustis, Florida, daughter of the late Herman Penley and Jessie Crenshaw Penley. She lived on Lake Eufaula in Henry County before moving to the nursing facility. Mrs. Spillane was preceded in death by her husband, James Archie Spillane and a daughter, Mary Louise Rigdon.

     Surviving relatives include a daughter, Debra Adkins; four sons, Wilbur Lee Rigdon, Kenneth Rigdon, Randy Rigdon and James Michael Spillane; several grandchildren.
