Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Pivont Funeral Chapel in Hinton, WV with Pastor Jeff Canterbury officiating. Burial will follow at Greenbrier Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1-2 pm prior to the funeral service. Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Dorothy Ann (Tipping) Miller, 96, of Hinton, WV passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the home of her son, Major (Ret) Terry L. Miller in Dothan, AL where she had been residing after the death of her beloved husband, Robert Lee Miller in February, 2019.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Pivont Funeral Chapel in Hinton, WV with Pastor Jeff Canterbury officiating. Burial will follow at Greenbrier Burial Park. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1-2 pm prior to the funeral service. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Dorothy retired after 18 years as an LPN from Summers County Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hinton, WV.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, John Lear Tipping and Alice (Krebs) Tipping, her husband of 73 years, Robert Miller, her two brothers, Walter Tipping and Col. Henry Tipping, her two sisters, Allison (Tipping) Slackus and Grace Tipping, her daughter, Barbara Ann Miller, her son, Gary Lee Miller, a grandson, Quentin Gregory Miller (Q), her two nieces, Lorine (Tipping) Davis and Shirley (Slackus) McGinley.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Major (Ret) Terry Lynn Miller (Nancy) and Robert Wayne Miller (Diana); a daughter-in-law, Jo Ann Miller; her grandchildren, Brian Andrew Miller (Nicole), Kristin Hope (Miller) Simpson (Francis), Chris Miller, Lilly Miesse, Jennifer Lynne Miller (Brian Helebrand), Justin Thomas Miller (Shelia), and Taylor Finch; her great grandchildren, Jordan McKenzie Rane Miller, Jaxon Q. Miller, Peyton Miller, Tyler Miller, and Aspen Finch; her sister, Gladys (Tipping) Clocker; her nieces and nephews, Charlene (Tipping) Huffman (Scott), Larry Bennett (Lisa), Rick Bennett, Sandy Gera, Wayne Tipping, Jackie Ratliff, Dickie Ratliff, Tommy C. Miller, Lester Fink, Dixie Traxell, Mary Ann Morrison, Jason Davis, Ralph Clocker, and Judy Christopher; as well as great nieces and nephews.
