Dorothy Jean Farris Sellers of Samson, AL passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 91 years old.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva, AL with Rondal Pettis officiating. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

 Mrs. Sellers was born in Coffee County, AL on April 12, 1932, to the late William Kenny and Sallie Jones Farris. Dorothy loved the Lord with all her heart and faithfully served him. She did her very best to point others to Christ.  In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, eating out, and working in her flower beds.    

 In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Otis Sellers, brother, Curtis Farris, and an infant brother.

 She is survived by three children, Barbara Jean Mock (Eddie) of Coffee Springs, AL, Billy Gene Sellers of Samson, AL, and Alice Faye Brewer of Samson, AL; four grandchildren, Christie Lynn Pettis (Rondal) of Kinston, AL, Christopher Chad Mock of Coffee Springs, AL, Evan Ross Brewer of Samson, AL, and Miranda Lambert (Jason) of Samson, AL; four great grandchildren, Lexi Lambert, Lani Lambert both of Samson, AL, Samuel Mock and Graycelynn Mock both of Coffee Springs, AL; one brother, Dykes Farris of Samson, AL.

 The family would like to thank her caregiver, Shirley Reeves and First Choice Hospice for their devoted love and care.
