Dorothy Lea Deskin Wuest of Geneva passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. She was 92 years old.

Visitation for Mrs. Wuest will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made in Mrs. Wuest’s memory to the Geneva Senior Citizen’s Center, 105 North Washington Street, Geneva, AL 36340.

Mrs. Wuest was born in Preston, Iowa on December 17, 1926 to the late Christopher and Anna Lavin Deskin. Dorothy was one of the original employees of TG&Y in Geneva. She volunteered with HRDC in Geneva for a number of years. In her later years she became very active in the Geneva Senior Citizen’s Center.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one grandson, Wesley Coleman; two sisters, Margaret Woeste, and Christine Howell.

She is survived by two sons, Ray Wuest (Linda) of Geneva, Ralph Wuest (Susan) of California; two daughters, Debbie Dase (Jim) of Villa Hills, KY, Shelley Beatty (Duane) of Florence, KY; 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff of Covenant Hospice for their love and care given to our mother.
