Mr. Doug Lolley of Geneva, AL passed away Monday, January 24, 2022. He was 78.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Gene Hauser officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Doug was born in Enterprise, AL on October 13, 1943 to the late James Ruben and Bessie May Hataway Lolley. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Prior to retirement, he worked for Shoney’s Restaurants and was later a security guard for various companies. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Western movies.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Judy Childs Summerlin Lolley, one son, John Summerlin; two sisters, Clara Lolley and Sue Barnes; and one brother, Randall Lolley.

Doug is survived by one son, James D. Lolley, Jr. (Cristy) of Valparaiso, FL; three daughters, Kedra Smith (Nathan) of Clayhatchee, AL, Laura Walls (Travis) of Geneva, AL, and Julie Martin (David) of Dothan, AL; He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren; , Andrew Meiman, Aurora Lolley Jenasee Lolley;; Jay Harley (Amber), Stephen Jenkins, Joseph Harley (Maranda), Daniel Walls, Justin Martin (Karsen), Nathaniel Walls (Blayde), Zoe Summerlin, Madeline Martin; nine great-grandchildren many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the Wiregrass Nursing Home administration and staff for their dedication and hard work in caring for Doug for the last five years.
