Dr. Alvin Carl Sheffield of Enterprise, AL passed away at his home on Saturday, March 09, 2024. He was 86.

 Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2024 at the First Methodist Church in Enterprise with Rev. Matt Jordan and Rev. Billy Luttrell officiating. Burial will follow in Claybank Church Cemetery in Ozark with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday beginning at 1:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the First Methodist Church of Enterprise, AL.

 Dr. Sheffield was born in Panama City, FL on August 01, 1937 to the late Andrew Harvey and Rossie V. Mashburn Sheffield. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Gayle. Two brothers also preceded him in death, twin brother Alton and Howard Sheffield.

 Dr. Sheffield is survived by one son, Carl Sheffield of Leesburg, FL; two daughters and son-in-law, Melissa Sheffield of Leesburg, FL and Kathryn Bruce and husband, Jason of Enterprise, AL; grandchildren, Kevin Gardner, Lawton Dantzler and Jessica; Jenna, Kallie and Abby Bruce, all of Enterprise and Carmen Gardner of Leesburg, FL; five great grandchildren; one brother, Edward Sheffield; two sisters-in-law, Judy Sheffield and Mary Sheffield and several other special family members and friends.
