Eddie M. Griggs took eternal rest the evening of the 22^nd of February 2022.

Eddie was born in Dothan, Alabama on February 1, 1934. He was very accomplished academically, receiving his Bachelors from Troy University, Troy Al; Masters from George Peabody College (now Vanderbilt) in Nashville, TN, and Doctorate from The University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, CO. Eddie had a lengthy career as an educator spanning from Key West, FL to Georgia. He spent the balance of his years teaching psychology students at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) in Tifton, GA.  He was a lifelong lover of words, art, good food, and academics.

 Eddie is survived by his daughter, Gayle M. Griggs-Kurian of Dothan, grandson Kolton A. Prymula of Santa Rosa Beach, first wife Delphine C. Griggs of Chipley, and step-children Michael E. Braxton, Alan Braxton and Bunny Odom of Marianna.

 Eddie is preceded in death by his wife Gail Griggs, his mother Myrtis and father Roy Griggs.

 A graveside service will be held Friday, the 25^th of February at Ward Wilson Memory Hill at 11:30.
