COLUMBIA, ALABAMA. . .Earl Edward Stuart, a resident of Columbia, Alabama, died Saturday morning, June 10, 2023, at his home. He was 69.

Funeral services will be held in Anna, Illinois and burial will be in the Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City, Illinois. Crain Funeral Home, Anna, Illinois is in charge of funeral arrangements. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of local arrangements.

Mr. Stuart was born and reared in Cairo, Illinois. He served in the U. S. Army and later retired from Army National Guard after twenty-two years service. For most of his lifetime, he was employed as a roofer and carpenter. Mr. Stuart moved to Columbia, Alabama in 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, William Richard Stuart, his mother, Leatrice Mae Harrison Stuart Vishino a brother, Richard Eugene Stuart, a daughter, Mandy Clark and a sister-in-law, Mary Rose Stuart-Foster.

Surviving relatives include two sons, Ryan Stuart (Nicole), Anna, Illinois; and Patrick Stuart of Germany; a sister, Carolyn Sue Stuart-Foster, House Springs, Missouri; step-sisters, Esther Laird and Vicky Schaffer; a step-brother, Arthur Poole; grandchildren, Bryan Stuart, Ian Stuart, Orlando Clark, Olivia Clark and Lenny Stuart; several nieces and nephews.
