ABBEVILLE. . .Earl Wayne Money, a resident of Abbeville, died early Tuesday morning, March 1, 2016. He was 94.


            Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, March 3, 2016, in the Pilgrim’s Rest Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Randy Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. Thursday in the church sanctuary.


            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3054 McGehee Road, Montgomery, AL 36111.


            Mr. Money was a lifelong resident of the Pilgrim’s Rest Community, son of the late Jessie Albert Money and Alice Davis Money. He was a member of the Pilgrim’s Rest Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for many years.  Mr. Money was retired from the Henry County Road & Bridge Department. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Wilson Money, a sister, Gladys Wilson and a brother, Herman Money.


            Surviving relatives include a sister, Kathleen Wilson, Abbeville; several nieces and nephews including special nephews, Brandon Bane (Anna), and Greg Wilson; and special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Roy and Judy Wilson.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Greg Wilson, Brandon Bane, Anna Bane, Tanner Knight, Clayton Palacio and Nicholas Palacio.
