Edward "Radio" George Rogero III, 78, of Ashford, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, following an extended illness.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 20, at 11:30 a.m. in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Billy Melvin officiating. Visitation will be held 10:30-11:15 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow the funeral at Crestlawn Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will be accepting flowers.

George was born in Jacksonville, Florida on October 22, 1943. He graduated high school in St. Augustine, Florida, and served in the Army National Guard before continuing on to receive the Journeyman Plumber & Pipefitter title from The United Association of Pipefitters in 1968.

George was married to Trish Monaghan Rogero on October 14, 1967; they were married 54 years. George worked as a Plumber/Pipefitter for Local Union 295 Daytona Beach, Florida, & Local Union 52 Montgomery, Alabama, for 52 years. He enjoyed all types of hunting & especially fox hunting with his hounds. He was actively involved with youth sports where he coached baseball for several years.

George is survived by his wife, Trish Monaghan Rogero; a daughter, Mary Beth Meadows (Brook); two sons, Eddie Rogero (Kellie) and Greg Rogero (Heather); six grandchildren, Macy Maddox, Zane Rogero, Jacob Rogero, Ansley Rogero, and Zach Blankenship; three great-grandchildren, Alex Blankenship, Jay Weaver, and Charlie Blankenship; two brothers, Rick Rogero (Glynnis) and Dennis Rogero; a sister, Suzanne Marmie (Gerry); and other family and friends.

George is preceded in death by his father Edward George Rogero Jr. and his mother Mary Jo Allbritton.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Jacob Rogero, Zane Rogero, Zach Blankenship, Andy Wells, Robert Martin, Robin Meadows, and Justin Waller.
