Elba Luz Abraham Torres

Elba Luz Abraham Torres, a resident of Dothan, Alabama passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2021 at a local hospital. She was 78.

Elba was born on October 29, 1942 in Santurce, Puerto Rico and lived most of her life there. She worked with her parents and brother as the secretary for the family-owned hardware store. Elba worked for 20 years at the First Bank of Puerto Rico. In 2007, she moved to the Wiregrass area where she was a member of St. Columba Catholic Church.

Elba was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Abraham Perez and Esther Torres Martinez; her brother, Francisco L. Abraham; and her niece, Jaqueline Abraham.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynette (Juan A) Cepero; her grandchildren, Juan F. (Hannah Martin) Cepero; Jose Cepero and Javier Cepero; her sister-in-law, Alba Rivera vda. De Abraham; and her nephews, Luis F. Abraham and Jorge L. Abraham.

A Rosary service will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 11 am at Sunset Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Columba Catholic Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
