  Eleanor Jane Speck

Eleanor Jane Speck, of Dothan, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015 at her home with her granddaughter at her side after her strong battle with cancer.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Rev. Coley M. Holloway officiating and Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the residence, 117 Bartlet Lane, Dothan, following the services.

Flowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Speck had many friends and family that loved her. She was a member of TOPS Chapter 330. She will always be remembered for her quirky and loving personality. To know her was to love her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, her mother and her father.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Kimberley Shaw Sutton (Frankie); great grandsons, Lexton Shaw and Drew Shaw; granddaughter, Cathryn Lugo (Brian);  great-grandson, Liam Lugo; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Sturm, grandsons, Andrew Sturm and Tyler Lund; a daughter, Tierra Nichols (Thim); a son, Mike Thomas (Terry); grandchildren, Shannon Thomas, Jessica Machen (Cody) and great-grandson, Michael Machen; a brother, John Mason, Sr. (Judy); several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
