Mrs. Elizabeth Ann VanVoorst received her heavenly healing on Thursday September 2, 2021. She was 69 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Jack Chancey officiating. Burial will follow in the Flat Creek cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held Sunday at 2p.m. and continue until time of service.

Ann was born in Coffee County, AL on February 4, 1952 to the late Aaron and Wenell Spann Powell. She was a kind woman who cherished her family. She was a hard worker and enjoyed spending time in her garden and preparing large meals for family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lee VanVoorst; two brothers, Waylon and Hollis Powell and one sister, Becky Powell Sterns.

She is survived by three children all of Samson, Kevin VanVoorst (Norma) and their children, Justin VanVoorst and Leigh Morris; Calvin VanVoorst and his son Michael VanVoorst; Mary Senn (Darryal)and their children, Tara Rhodes(Dustin), Jesse Senn(Casey), and Jason Senn; three great-grandchildren, Samuel Rhodes, Briley Senn, and Kade Senn; one sister, Sarah Ward (Sam); sisters in law, Doris Powell, Jill VanVoorst, Marlene Sando (Nelson),numerous special nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
