Ellis Dean Cotton of Dothan, AL passed away on Saturday, August 07, 2021. He was 52.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery, 579 Co. Rd 19, Samson, AL 36477 with Rev. Teddy Ward officiating and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Maple Avenue Baptist Church Youth Dept., 1009 West Maple Ave., Geneva, AL 36340 in his memory.

Mr. Cotton was born in Houston County, AL on April 10, 1969 to Daniel W. and Jean V. Cotton. He was a 1987 graduate of Geneva High School. He later graduated from Columbia School of Business and proudly served in the United States Army for 5 years where he attained the rank of SSG. He believed in hard work and lived life to the fullest. He most recently started his own business in Dothan, having worked in the electronics industry for many years.  

He is survived by his daughter, Zona Cotton of Dothan, AL; his parents, Daniel W. and Jean V. Cotton of Geneva, AL; two sisters, Karen Gautney (Jeff Baine) of Samson, AL and Stephanie Jones (David) of Enterprise, AL and a number of other dearly loved family members.
