DOTHAN. . .Eloise Mikell Clifton, a resident of Westside Terrace, Dothan, died late Monday afternoon, November 28, 2022, in a Dothan hospital. She was 87.

There are no memorial or funeral services planned at this time. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Clifton was born in Portal, Georgia and was raised in Portal and Savannah, Georgia, daughter of the late William Theodore Mikell and Lillian Mae Stewart Mikell. She lived in Statesboro, Georgia and Dothan before moving to Westside Terrace. Ms. Clifton was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Balmer, a son, Hal Douglas Sipes, her son-in-law, Donald Shirah, and all her sisters and brothers.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Rebecca Shirah, of Sheridan, Arkansas and Blue Springs, Alabama; a son, William Curtis Sipes (Polly), Millen, GA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
