Mr. Elton Roscoe Housley of Geneva, AL passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. He was 79.   

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2022 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Marsh officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Geneva with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 2:00 p.m.

Elton was born on October 16, 1942 to the late Ernest Roscoe and Ellen Jerlean Williamson Housley. Elton was the head of the X-Ray department for many years at Wiregrass Medical Center where he gave excellent care to his patients and their families. He also served many years on the board of directors at the hospital. In his spare time, he enjoyed raising birds especially peacocks and pheasants.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann “Patsy” Housley.

He is survived by one sister, Frances Penton of Purvis, MS; stepson, Tony Moore of Foley, AL; one step-grandson, Michael Moore of Geneva, AL; one step-granddaughter, Megan Merrow of Texas; four step-great grandchildren; and numerous cousins.
