Emma Lessie Hudson of Elba passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021.  She was 68.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 1, 2021, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with Rev. Randy Hartley, officiating.  Burial will follow at Goodman Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson, directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Mrs. Hudson was born in Coffee County, AL on December 6, 1952, to the late Dovie and Mavis Beckworth.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Pete” Hudson; two daughters, Betty Goodwin, and Emma Haskins; two grandchildren, Destiny Parvin, and Zachary Hudson; four brothers; and a sister.

She is survived by her son, Charlie Robert Hudson; daughter, Sueann Parvin, both of Elba; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six sisters, Catherine Hudson (Billy Wayne) of Elba, Dorothy Roberson, Annie Roberson, both of Hartford, Mary Frances Carpenter of Daleville, Betty Joyce Parrish of Elba, and Gracie Sewell of New Brockton; three brothers, Van Beckworth of Daleville, James Beckworth of Esto, FL, and John L. Beckworth.
