ENNIS DERMONT EUBANKS
ASHFORD. . .Ennis Dermont Eubanks, a resident of Ashford, died early Wednesday evening, August 22, 2012, in a Dothan hospital. He was 75.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 25, 2012, in the Cedar Springs Baptist Cemetery with Reverend Todd Mims officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 P.M. Friday in the sanctuary of the Cedar Springs Baptist Church.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Cedar Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 3754 Cedar Springs Road, Ashford, AL 36312.
Mr. Eubanks was born and reared in Pansey, son of the late Elmer Ennis Eubanks and Mattie Ellen Killingsworth Eubanks. He was a 1955 graduate of Ashford High School. Mr. Eubanks formerly lived in Selma, Monroeville and the Cedar Springs community before moving to Ashford in 2010. He was a retired insurance salesman with Independent Life Insurance Company. Mr. Eubanks was a member of the Cedar Springs Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was also a member of the National Association of Life Underwriters, Wiregrass Saddle Club and the Paso Fino Horse Association. Mr. Eubanks enjoyed his fellowship with his buddies at the Broadway Café in Ashford. He was preceded in death by a son, Monty Eubanks.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Jane Hayborn Eubanks, and a son, Mike Eubanks, both of Ashford; two grandsons, Tyler Sims and Tre’ Eubanks and wife, Joni, a great-grandson, Hunter Eubanks, three brothers, Mack Eubanks and wife, Carole, Columbus, MS; Harry Eubanks and wife, Gale, Ashford; and Larry Eubanks and wife, Sarah, Dothan; a brother-in-law, Jimmy Hayborn and wife, Gracie, Webb; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
