James Eric Mann of Dothan passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019.  He was 71 years old. 

The family will be receiving friends on Monday, May 6, 2019 from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Glover Funeral Home. A private family graveside service will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery with Dr. Johnny Fain and Rev. Bob Gross officiating and Kendall Glover directing.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Harbor Church Ministries, P O Box 506, Dothan, Alabama 36302.

Eric was born in Troy, Alabama August 4, 1947, the son of the late Jake Mann and Jean Mann of Enterprise. He moved to Dothan early in his life, and later, worked with his father at Jake Mann’s Body Shop. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He worked in the telecommunication industry until his retirement.  Eric was a member of First Baptist Church of Dothan. He enjoyed the beauty of the Smoky Mountains and took many trips there with family and friends. 

Eric is survived by his wife, Carol; sons, Chris Mann (Courtney) and Kevin Cherry (Stephanie); grandsons, Carter and Dowling Mann, Jackson and Cameron Cherry, and granddaughters, Brooke and Caroline Hysmith; mother, Jean Mann; brother, Shann Mann; sister, Jeanna Quattlebaum (Russell); and many more family members and friends.
