Erma JoAnn Parker, a resident of Dothan, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2022 at Glover Funeral home Chapel with Pastor Troy West and Danise Peters officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 am until 10:15 am on Monday prior to service time.

Burial will be held 2:00 p.m. EDT (1:00 p.m. CDT), Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Forest Meadows Memorial Park East Cemetery in Gainesville, Florida.

Mrs. Parker was born September 20, 1935, in Gainesville, Florida to Perry and Faye Myrtle Kite Hollingsworth and was lovingly raised by Jake Coin Kite and Ruby Pons Kite and she lived the early years of her life in Gainesville, Florida. She married Ellis Parker Jr. and they moved to many different areas during his time in the ministry, and moved to Dothan in 1995. She served joyfully as a pastor’s wife and worked as the Lord’s servant at the Crisis Pregnancy Center for many years. She served as treasurer for the Joyful Refuge ladies ministry, taught Sunday school at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, taught Bible classes in local nursing homes, and was a Child Evangelism Fellowship director in Georgia and Florida. Because of her love for Israel, she served in the messianic ministry in her later years.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Ellis Parker Jr., her parents, and two sisters.

Survivors include three children, Phyllis Wheelus (Eddie) of Kathleen, GA, David Ellis Parker (Joy) of Dothan, AL, and Sarah Schnable (Ricky) of Bonaire, GA; two sisters, seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
