Mrs. Eunice Lorene Holland of Geneva, AL passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021. She was 85.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 20, 2021 at Highfalls Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Rev. Scott Crooms officiating and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing.

Mrs. Holland was born in Enterprise, AL on July 9, 1936, to the late Hiram Clifton and Eunice Lee Allen Griffin. She loved the Lord and was faithful to her church and church family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, but also believed in working hard.

She worked for over 20 years at B.C. Moore’s in Geneva, AL. She had worked as a school bus driver in earlier years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford Holland and one brother, Harrell C. Griffin.

She is survived by two daughters, Doris Stephenson (Jimmy) of Satsuma, AL, Nancy Newman (Corky) of Geneva, AL; three grandchildren,  Andrea Faith Rodgers (Jake) Semmes, AL, Ashley Marie Jenkins (Cody) of Omaha, NE, and Casey Lee Newman (Layla) Taylor, AL; four great-grandchildren, Anna Grace, Eliza Jane, Clara Beth, and Lydia Faith Rodgers all of Semmes, AL;  two brothers, James Griffin and Chester Griffin (Ruth) all of Geneva, AL, one sister, Louise Howard (Ron) of Chipley, FL and one sister-in-law, Sarah Griffin of Titusville, FL, special caregiver, Ann McClenny of Geneva, AL; several special nieces and nephews also survive.
