Evelyn Barton Phillips of Westville, FL passed at her home on Saturday, July 7, 2018. She was 80 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Wayne Brannon and Rev. Charles Barton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Mrs. Phillips was born in Holmes County, FL on December 15, 1937 to the late James Bascom and Mary Brannon Barton. Mrs. Phillips was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who believed in putting her family first. She loved to fish, and enjoyed doing for others.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Barton.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, James A. “Jim” Phillips of Westville, FL; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah DeRouen (Donnie) of Geneva; one son, James Ray Phillips of Westville, FL; four grandchildren, Brandi Carroll (Simon) of Westville, FL, Brittney Owens (Christopher) of Samson, Jason DeRouen (Sara) of Chancellor, and Josh DeRouen of Geneva; eight great-grandchildren, Tyler, Peyton, and Addison Carroll of Westville, FL, Carson and Bayleigh Owens of Samson, Jaxon, Juddson, and Sophia DeRouen of Chancellor; four siblings, Tamer Phillips (Russell) of Bonifay, FL, Charles Barton (Sarah) of Westville, FL, Shirley Rushing (Kenny) of Ponce de Leon, FL, and Russell Barton (Mary Jane) of Westville, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
