Evelyn Louise Garzarek, a resident of Pinckard, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Flowers Hospital.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2021 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, Alabama with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends following the graveside services.

Mrs. Garzarek was born October 2, 1936 in Jefferson County, Alabama to Ollie and Bessie Todd, the fourth of six children and lived the early years of her life in Mulga.

She met George Garzarek and they were married on April 16, 1954. She was a homemaker and loving mother to her five children, always supportive and keeping them busy in various activities. Whether cheerleading, baseball, football or scouts she was always a “team mom”. Her home was always open to her children’s friends who were treated just like her own. She was a Christian lady and will be dearly missed.

She is predeceased by her parents and a daughter, Lee.

Survivors include her husband of sixty-six years, George Garzarek of Pinckard; four children, Ronald Garzarek of Florida, Roy Garzarek (Belinda) of Newton, Brenda Cates of Helena and Freddy Garzarek (Jill) of Dothan; a brother, Robert Todd of Mulga; fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren who called her “Mama Too” and were her  pride and joy; several nieces and nephews also survive.
