Evelyn Marie Pearce, 83, a resident of Dothan, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012, at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be held 10 am Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6pm until 8pm Monday.

Mrs. Pearce was born January 2, 1929 in Laurens, South Carolina and she resided the early years of her life in Greenville, South Carolina. Mrs. Pearce was a homemaker and resided in Dothan for the past 38 years. She will be forever missed by her family and K-9 companion and the love of her life “Scout”.

Survivors include her husband, Harold F. “Joe” Pearce, Dothan; three sons, Joey (Bonnie) Pearce, Dothan, David (Lee) Pearce, Dothan and Mark (Betty Jo) Pearce, Greenville, South Carolina; her grandchildren, Heather Pearce, Holly Sloop, Elizabeth Vaughn, Alan Pearce and Linde Marie Pearce; three great-grandchildren, Pearce, Luna and Allison.
