Evelyn Virginia Yon, 95, a resident of Midland City, passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 16, 1926, in Chancellor, AL., to the late George Samuel McFaden and Bertha Virginia (Willis) McFaden.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 13, 2021, at Memory Hill Cemetery. There will be no public visitation due to Covid-19 concerns.

Evelyn was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.  She enjoyed taking trips to the mountains and attending gospel music concerts. She took up sewing and fishing as some her most enjoyable hobbies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Alton
Allen and James D. Yon, brother, Willis McFaden, daughter-in-law, Charlotte Allen, and stepchildren, Lori Yon, and Lisa Yon.

Survivors include her son, Gaylon (Dale) Allen, brother, Adger (Charlotte) McFaden, grandsons, Gaylon A. Allen, Jr., Marc C. (Kelli) Allen, and Ryan A. Allen, ten great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, and stepchildren, Steve Yon, and Roger Yon.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mount Zion Assembly of God Church; 1078 Co Rd 112, Midland City, AL 36350
