Ewell “Tony” Peak of Black, AL passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023. He was 69. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Jerry Pettis, officiating. Following the service, the family will gather at the Black Community Center for food and fellowship.


Mr. Peak was born in Geneva, AL on November 21, 1953, to the late James Richard Peak, Sr. and Frances Ray Peak. Prior to his retirement, he worked in construction for many years.  He also loved to work on cars.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Crumpler Peak two brothers, James Richard Peak, Jr., and Blakely Lee Peak; and a sister, Linda Crockett.


He is survived by two daughters, April Devine (Hunter) of Black, and Lora Wilson (Keith) of Loretto, TN; son, Andy Peak (Mary) of Orlando, FL; ten grandchildren, Brandon Newman, Brianne Young, Hailey Young, Destiny Peak, Austin Peak, Hunter Peak, Carson McCrummen, McKenna Devine, River Devine, and Ellee Devine; and three great grandchildren, Forrest Newman, Lincoln Newman, and Mary Peak. The family would like to thank Dayspring Hospice and nurse, Brittani Davis for their kind and loving care.
