Farren Murdock Weeks of Samson, AL passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023, at his home. He was 78 years old. There are no services scheduled at this time.

Farren was born in Geneva County, AL on December 13, 1944, to the late William Taft and Eva Mae Wood Weeks. Farren was best known as his mothers “Jody Baby”.  Mr. Weeks loved fishing, oystering, and quail hunting with his beloved bird dogs. He also enjoyed watching Auburn Tigers Football, “War Eagle”! After retirement, he began a wood working hobby where he made beautiful items for those he loved.   

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Will Ed Weeks, and Phillip Weeks; one sister-in-law, Barbara Weeks.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dianne Weeks of Samson, AL; three children, Dana Dianne Ard (Lorry) of Samson, AL, John Farren Weeks (Dana) of Pace, FL, and Farrah Weeks Lin (Abe) of Statesboro, GA; seven grandchildren, Dylan and Savannah Ard, Kendyl and Kensly Weeks, Corbin, Caiden, and Carter Lin; one brother, Wayne Weeks (Helen) of Geneva, AL; one sister, Sue Simmons (Randel) of DeFuniak Springs, FL; and his many close friends.
