Fausteen Meeks of the Piney Grove Community passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018 at the age of 88.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 15, 2018 at Piney Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Branch and Rev. Jimmy Eddins, officiating.  Burial will follow at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Samson on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m.  Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, 1314 Westgate Parkway, Suite 2, Dothan, AL 36303.

 

Mrs. Meeks was born in Samson, AL on May 14, 1930, to the late Malcome and Bonnie Farris Davis. She was lifelong member of Piney Grove Baptist Church.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and MawMaw.  Mrs. Meeks was preceded in death by her husband, Grady L. Meeks; and two brothers, Grover Davis and Leland Davis.

 

She is survived by three sons, Wayne Meeks (Judy) of New Brockton, Randall Meeks (Laurie) of Geneva, and Terry Meeks (Susan) of Samson; seven grandchildren, Nicole Meeks Green (Clint), Rebecca Green (Chris), Jeremy Meeks (Alicia), Matt Odom (Tracy), Colby Meeks (Toni), Kacie Medley (Jody), and Karie Pike (Bryan); and eighteen great-grandchildren.
