Felecia Shawn Simmons Salter of Samson, AL passed away on April 5, 2024 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was 58.

 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Bro. Timothy Jenkins and Bro. Lewis Harper officiating. Burial will follow in the Earlytown Church of Christ Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 10:00 a.m.In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made toward funeral expenses.

 Shawn was born in Geneva Co., AL on October 14, 1965 to the late Bobby H. “Buck” and Shelby Jean Strickland Simmons. She worked as a CNA prior to becoming a homemaker. She dearly loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In her early years, she was quite fond of the outdoors and hunting. In her later months and during her illness, she enjoyed going to church with her family and worshipping the Lord.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Salter, granddaughter, Kenzly Moody and one brother, Bobby Simmons.

 Shawn is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Amber D. Lee (Blake); two grandchildren, Aubrie Kay Nevels and Branson Zane Nevels, all of Samson; a special friend, Billy Burgess of DeFuniak Springs, FL and a number of other special family and friends.

 Serving as pallbearers will be Roger Williams, Roger Stephens, Branson Nevels, Ronnie Ard, Jeffery Ard and Mason Lee.
