Fred will be interred with his wife, in New Orleans, LA at Greenwood Cemetery.








Ferdinand “Fred” Loyacano, born February 2, 1937 in New Orleans, LA went to meet his Heavenly Father and loved ones on February 14, 2023 at home in Dothan, Alabama.


He married Adelaid “Addie” Schmitz on May 10, 1958. They traveled extensively while Fred served in the US Air Force for 25 years. He worked at Fisk, Centel, and Williams Telephone Co. He loved Coca-Colas and spoiling his grandchildren. Fred also gave to the Shriner’s and the Jerry Lewis Foundation.


Fred had two children, Tina McCord (James), Dothan, AL and Freddie Loyacano, Jr., Metairie, LA; his grandsons, Barry Curtis, James Curtis (Sarah), Shawn Curtis (Faith), and Stephen McCord; his great grandchildren, Hayden, Keller, Annalei, Archer, Gavin; his great-great granddaughter, Caylee; his sisters, Marie Blanke (John) and Teresa Amadeo (Peter Jr.).


Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Ella Loyacano, his wife, Addie Loyacano, his sister, Loretta Schwartz, and his granddaughter, Amber McCord.



Fred will be interred with his wife, in New Orleans, LA at Greenwood Cemetery.
