Floyd Richard “Dickie” Turnage, 73, of Dothan, Alabama passed away at Southeast Health on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 8, 2024, at Glover Funeral Home with Pastor Troy West officiating. Burial will follow at Dothan City Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m., prior to the service.

Richard was born on March 20, 1950, in Marianna, FL to the late Max Russell & Marjorie Alice (Phaender) Turnage. He was a graduate of Marianna High School and Chipola College. He retired from the State of Florida, Sunland Center, in Marianna, Florida. He enjoyed college football, traveling to watch air shows, was an avid Historian, and was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Turnage Peterson (Josh) of Hartford; a long-time special friend, Priscilla Bird of Midland City; two grandchildren, Carrington Peterson, and Chrisley Peterson; a brother, David Turnage (Jo) of Pace, FL; a sister, Debbie McKeithan (Larry) of Marianna, FL; several nieces and nephews.
