COLUMBIA…Frances Smith McDaniel, a resident of Columbia, died early Monday morning, February 22, 2021, in a Dothan hospital. She was 69.

   Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 25, 2021, in the Columbia City Cemetery with Pastor Vann Cooley officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Social distancing guidelines and masks will be observed. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

   Mrs. McDaniel was a lifelong resident of Columbia, daughter of the late Johnny James Smith and Dorothy Henderson Smith. She was affiliated with the Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church.

   Surviving relatives include her husband, John McDaniel; a daughter, Pam McDaniel Volf, Abbeville; a son, Kenneth McDaniel, Columbia; a sister, Shirley Duke, Columbia; three grandchildren, Nathan Volf, Hannah McDaniel and Zack Volf; a niece, Sheila Wakefield (Thomas); a nephew, Lee Duke (Kelly), and several other nieces and nephews from the McDaniel family.

   Serving as active pallbearers will be Stanley Henderson, Neal McClendon, Glenn McDaniel, Lee Duke, Zack Volf, Nathan Volf and Tony Duke.
