KINSEY…Frank J. Rogers, Captain, U.S. Air Force, Retired, a resident of Kinsey, passed away late Monday night, August 16, 2021, at his home. He was 77.


   Celebration of life services will be held at a later date.


   Frank Rogers was born and reared in Erie, Pennsylvania. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Captain after twenty-six years of service. Frank earned a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Development from Pepperdine University. He later moved to Kinsey in 1987 and worked for twenty years as Fixed Operations Manager at Rahal Buick, later known as Mike Schmitz Automotive Group. Frank was a car enthusiast and collector. He was a member of Kinsey United Methodist Church where he served on the Board of Trustees. Frank was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynette Rogers, a son, Wilbur E. Glass, Jr., his mother, Esther Huber Wilson, his step-father, Chuck Wilson, and a sister, Allora Bible.


   Surviving relatives include his wife, Shelby Lewis Rogers; two sons, Timothy Lee Glass (Barbara Jean), Biloxi, MS; and William Michael “Mic” Broadhead (Shayni Watson, fiancé), Kinsey; a sister, Erna Ethel Morell, Erie, PA; a brother, Clifton Randall Rogers, Erie, PA; four grandchildren, Sierra Irvin (Robert), Taylor Glass, Franklin Broadhead and Skylar Broadhead; two great-grandchildren, Addelynn Osher and Remington Seel; a special friend, Reinier Philippona, Dothan.
