Freddy Paul Chapman, of Dothan, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Southeast Health. He was 63.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Troy West officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday prior to service time.

Mr. Chapman was born February 24, 1958, in Dothan to William Braswell Chapman and Emma Dixie Stewart and was a lifelong resident of Dothan. He was a 1976 graduate of Dothan High School and later attended Wallace College where he received his degree in computer science. Freddy was employed with Sony Corporation for 30 years prior to his retirement. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is predeceased by his parents and nephews, Jared Evelo and Zachery Mazzulo; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Bowman, and Brandy Beaty.

Survivors include his spouse, Donna J. Beaty Chapman of Dothan; a brother, Ike Chapman (Nancy Walters) of Montgomery; two sisters-in-law, Marlene Chilcoate of Talkeetna, Alaska and Vivian Evelo (Mark) of Tallahassee, FL; two brothers-in-law, Bob Bowman of Dothan and Michael Beaty of Dothan; nieces and nephews, Alan Chapman,  Mark Chapman (Crystal), Brianna Beaty, Shelley Wonsch (Brad), Lindley Fredrickson (Michael), Matthew Evelo, Jude Mazzulo, Jason Bowman (Selene) and Christy  Rhodes (Jimmy); several great-nieces and nephews also survive.
