Irvin Garnett Rigsby, a resident of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at his residence. He was 84.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday. A private burial will be held for the family with Glover Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Rigsby was born November 22, 1937 in Marshall County, Alabama to Talmadge Virgil and Matie Ree Irvin Rigsby. He served his country in the U. S. Navy. He later was employed with the city of Birmingham as a motorcycle policeman. He spent most of his life in car sales having owned and operated several dealerships including Garnett Rigsby Ford in Troy and Jim Skinner Honda in Dothan. Mr. Rigsby was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Mr. Rigsby is predeceased by his parents, and an infant son.

Survivors include his wife, Reba Rigsby of Dothan; three children, Tim Rigsby (Sandie) of Headland, Kim Rigsby Griffin (John) of Dothan and Jacqueline Woodin (Greg) of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida; a brother, Larry Brewer (Pam) of Boaz; a sister, France Plott of Birmingham; grandchildren, J.P. Griffin, Stephen Griffin, Kyle Griffin, Tyler Rigsby, Blake Woodin (Natalie), Wesley Woodin (Jessica) and Griffin Woodin (Lauren); great-grandchildren, Addisyn Griffin, Aiden Rigsby, Hudson Woodin, Owen Woodin and Miles Woodin; several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, “Rocky”.

Serving as active pallbearers will be Tyler Rigsby, J.P. Griffin, Stephen Griffin, Kyle Griffin, Blake Woodin, Wesley Woodin and Griffin Woodin.
