Gary Davidson of Slocomb went to his heavenly home on Saturday, July 26, 2014 after an extended illness. He was 70.

Memorial services will be held at 4pm Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Hartford with Bro. Johnny Strickland and Rev. Frank Radcliff officiating and under the direction of Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Gary was born on December 6, 1943 in Toccoa, Georgia. He moved to Slocomb in 2014.

Gary had a full life. He could be found spending time with his family and friends and helping his fellow man. He was a kind and generous soul who always had a smile on his face.                                                                                                                             

Gary is survived by four children, Kathy (Daniel) West-Freeman, Gary Kenneth (Lorene) Davidson, Jeff Davidson, and Patricia (Samuel) Paz; 13 grandchildren, Brandon (Katie) Butler, Brandy Butler, Zack (Michelle) Davidson, Theodore Davidson, Alex Davidson, Kaylah McGruder, Antonio Paz, Leslie Freeman, Josh Meador, Justin Tweedy, and Jeremy Goodwin; four great-grandchildren, Nathan Butler, Colten Butler, Aaliyah Butler, and Mariah Butler; two brothers, Glen Davidson and Grady Davidson; and several nieces and nephews.

Gary was a wonderful father and grandfather who will live forever in our hearts and memories. He will be truly missed.
