GEORGE NEAL DECK

ABBEVILLE, AL… George Neal Deck, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, passed away early Wednesday morning, October 6, 2021, at his home. He was 60.

            Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 8, 2021, at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Malone, Florida. The family will receive friends following the service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.

            Mr. Deck was born in Donalsonville, Georgia to the late Nicholas Lee Deck, Sr. and Katheren Ducker Kirkland. He lived most of his life in the Dothan, Alabama area. He was a 1979 Graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School in Asheville, North Carolina. He started installing carpet in his teenage years and continued until he medically retired a few years ago. He was passionate about Alabama Football. He loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews.

            Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Nicholas Lee Deck, Jr. and Marcus Deck.

            Leaving to cherish his memories are his sister, Tammy Sauls (David) of Abbeville, AL; his sister-in-law, Jackie Deck of Winter Haven, FL; his nieces, Tabitha Carter (Bobby) of Abbeville, AL, Tiffany Baxley (Justin) of Ludowici, GA, Taylor Sauls (Dallas Shelley) Abbeville, AL; his nephew, Christopher Deck, Winter Haven, FL; his seven great-nieces and nephews.
