GEORGE WOODS

HEADLAND, AL… George Woods, a resident of Headland, Alabama, passed away Wednesday morning, December 14, 2022, at his home. He was 70.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Mr. Woods was born in Frostburg, Maryland to Delores May Winebrenner Woods and the late Joseph William Woods . He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was employed most recently with Bondy’s Ford Lincoln in Dothan, Alabama as a salesman. In his earlier years he loved “Hot Rodding”. He was a Mr. Fix-It, but especially loved working with wood. He loved making and gifting his loved ones with gifts he had made of wood. Mr. George was a loving husband, a loving father, a loving grandfather, and a loving great-grandfather.

Along with his father, he was also preceded in death by a son, Steven Woods.

Leaving to cherish his memories is his wife, Linda Albright Woods; his daughter, Wendy Granger (Thomas); his sisters, Cindy Day and Chris Wellings (Jerry); his brother, Eugene Woods (Laura); his grandchildren, Ashley Cruce, Joshua Waybright (Hannah Waterworth), and Kaitlyn Granger (Hadden Gilley); his great-grandchildren, Jealynn Waybright, Rhett Cruce, Ella Jane Waybright, Cylas Cruce, and Ila Grace Gilley arriving in January 2023.
