Ginette Ballais Costello

Ginette was born in Montendre France February 2, 1935 to Roger Patureau and Eva Cottet. She met Leo Costello while he was stationed in Bussac France during the Korean War. They were married in 1952 in Montendre and returned to the United States to make their home in Chattanooga TN. There they had their son, Patrick Leo before moving to Birmingham Alabama where they had their daughter Monique Eva. Ginette worked for Bromberg’s as an inventory specialist. One of her many pleasures was caring for her dogs. They brought her great joy, and Nikki will miss her.

Ginette is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Paulette Ballais.

She is survived by a brother Jacques Ballais of St. Ciers sur Gironde, France, a son Patrick Costello, daughter Monique Costello Barksdale (Jay); grandchildren Erin Davis (Mike), Clayton Costello (Brittany), Chase Barksdale, Caroline Barksdale and Jacob Costello.

Memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 2 pm in the chapel of Family First Funeral Care.
