ABBEVILLE. . .Ginger Carmouche Floyd, a resident of Abbeville, died early Thursday morning, May 9, 2019, at her home. She was 53.

     Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 11, 2019, in the Abbeville United Methodist Church with Reverend Randy Greene and Reverend Joey Hudspeth officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbeville Memorial Cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday in the Abbeville United Methodist Church Family Life Center.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Safe Haven Animal Rescue Kennels (S.H.A.R.K.), P. O. Box 126, Abbeville, AL 36310.

     Ginger Floyd was born in Dumas, Arkansas and was reared in Abbeville where she lived most of her lifetime. She was a 1983 graduate of Abbeville High School and attended Wallace Community College. Ginger was a member of the Abbeville United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Charles Carmouche.

     Surviving relatives include her husband, Joey Floyd, Abbeville; a daughter, Bethany Floyd Hicks (Drew), Headland; a son, Joseph Ivey Floyd, II (India), Newville; her mother, SuAnne Mills Carmouche, Abbeville; two sisters, Michelle Carmouche Newman (Bryan), Newville; and Miclynn Carmouche Crozier (Steve), Headland; four grandchildren, Ashton Floyd, Axel Floyd, Bryer Hicks and Beau Hicks; nieces and nephews, Gabe Newman (Carolyn), Zack, Areal, Seth, Jaxson and Hamilton Crozier, Katie Walker and Justin Walker (Hillary); a great-nephew, Wyatt Walker.

     Serving as active pallbearers will be Cody Odom, Jonathan Money, Justin Walker, Drew Hicks, Gabe Newman, Seth Crozier, Hamilton Crozier, Jaxson Crozier and Zack Crozier.
