Glen Iverson Isler


 


Glen Iverson Isler, a resident of Headland, died Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Flowers Hospital.  He was 53.


 


The family would like to invite you to celebrate the life of Glen at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2011 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Cureton officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.


 


Glen was born May 26, 1958 in Miami, FL and lived the early part of his life there. He moved to the Wiregrass area at age 12 and lived here the remainder of his life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.


He owned and operated Glen’s Tire Service in Dothan since 1999 and also assisted his wife in Wiregrass Truss Co., Inc.


 


Mr. Isler never met a stranger and will be remembered by many for his assistance and the good deeds he performed daily.


 


He is survived by his wife, Priscilla Isler of Headland; his children, Allen Isler (Nichole) of Dothan and Dawn Jackson of Midland City; his step-children, Trip Smith and Hunter Smith, both of Headland; three grandchildren, Tylor Jackson, Jheri Jackson, and Hayden Isler; his mother, Grace Monk Isler, of Cottonwood; one brother, Paul Isler of Cottonwood; and five sisters, Jan Floyd (Stan) of Headland, Nora Morris and Sandra Isler, both of Cottonwood, Karen Mills (Jerry) of Dothan, and Rita Cureton (John) of Rehobeth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
