Glenda Fay Roland Stewart

Glenda Fay Roland Stewart, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday, December 27, 2011 following an extended illness. She was 78.

 

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Memory Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Travis Free officiating and Byrd Funeral Home on West Main Street directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday prior to service time.

 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, 423 East Cottonwood Rd., Dothan, AL, 36301 or a favorite charity.

 

Mrs. Stewart was born May 20, 1933 in Dothan, Alabama where she lived all of her life. She was employed with Electrolux, Inc. for over 25 years. Mrs. Stewart was a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Faith Sunday School Class.

 

She is predeceased by her parents, William Arthur and Antha Hughes Roland and her husband, Earl F. Stewart.

 

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rhoda and Rick M. Weber of Dothan; two granddaughters, Susanne Richardson and husband, Brian  of Birmingham and Sydney Weber of Dothan; a sister, Callie Ann Davidson and husband, Don of Headland; several nieces and nephews.

 

Honorary pallbearers will be the Foy Strickland Sunday School Class of Southside Baptist Church.
