Gloria Ann Linton of Samson, AL passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022. She was 72 years old.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at the First Baptist Church in Samson with Rev. Danny Branch and Rev. Larry Mock officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made in Ann’s memory to the First Baptist Church of Samson, 100 West Main Street, Samson, AL 36477.

Mrs. Linton was born in Geneva County, AL on May 22, 1949 to the late Orell and Erma White Cooper. Ann worked with the United States Postal Service for over 30 years. After retirement she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.  

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Billy Ray Linton of Samson, AL; one daughter, Lori Linton Gilmore (Hank) of Samson, AL; two sons, Jody Linton (Jana) of Enterprise, AL, and Chris Linton (Di-An) of Houston, TX; six grandchildren, Chase Gilmore, Lorin Gilmore, Connor Linton, Carter Linton, Jep Linton, and Caralee Linton; one great-granddaughter, Adaline Gilmore.
