Gregory Henry Yancey of Bonifay, FL passed away at his home on January 12, 2023 with his family by his side. He was 52 years old.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Eddie Eaton officiating. Police Chief of Bonifay, FL, Chris Wells, Sheriff John Tate and Retired Sheriff Dennis Lee will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Mt. Ida Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Greg was born on February 2, 1970. Greg proudly served the citizens of Bonifay, FL as assistant Chief Deputy with the Bonifay Police Department for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Elizabeth Yancey; one brother, Christopher Brown Yancey.

He is survived by his wife Cindy Yancey; children, Courtney Mitchem (Kennie), Jillian Hobson (Jesse), Scotty Sheridan, and Emily Yancey; grandchildren, Christopher, Delilah, Chloe, Ethan, Javin, Joey, Eric, Korbin, and Aubrey; father, Joseph Yancey; sister, Hope Hall (Ricky); and one brother, Bryan Yancey (Jennifer).
