Guy Hulon Roney of Samson (Marl Community) passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 58 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Danny Branch officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to New Prospect Baptist Church (Marl Community), 579 North County Road 19, Samson, AL 36340.

Guy was born on January 16, 1960 to the late Hulon J. and Jimmie Nella Roney. Guy loved being in the outdoors, especially when he was hunting or fishing. He was a true family man and was always willing to help anyone in need. In his spare time he enjoyed grilling, and listening to country and blue grass music.

He is survived by his loving and devoted daughters, Erica R. Murray (Nathan), and Kristin R. Windham (Tony) all of Samson; one sister, Linda R. King (David) of Samson; one brother, Ernie Roney (Tonya) of Geneva; special friend, Genita Powell Drury of Samson; two granddaughters, Tori and Jules Windham; many special nieces, nephews, and friends.
